Born out of a need for a person with developmental disabilities to not be subjected to the typical substandard living conditions known at the time, Alpha Group Administrators was formed in 1990. Two years later, 6 homes were added which brought more clients out of Arizona State Hospitals to reside and thrive in a nurturing and caring residential environment.
In 2000, 13 additional
group homes and a Day Treatment Facility (now called DTA) and Art Therapy programs came about. During the next 5 years, AGA became known for expertise in serving clients with dual diagnoses and behaviorally intense diagnoses.
Twenty years later, Alpha Group has 3 DTA centers, 22 residential group homes and Home and Community Based Services (HCBS). All together, we serve over 90 clients in 7 cities. These are figures worth boasting as AGA has scored a 95% average compliance rate for programming and State regulations since the inception of our own unique internal monitoring system, the CSI. More than the figures, AGA employees are proud of the progress that our clients make daily in their lives. (One of our residents was a product of institutions. She came to us guarded, wouldn’t let anyone within 6 feet of her. If they got too close, she would hit them, and would hit hard. She now hugs people and has a very approachable and loving demeanor – now that’s worth bragging about).
With all of our accomplishments, our focus on future goals is to increase awareness to the community about our clients’ contribution to society and how they strengthen our culture. In-house, we aim for integrity to be a catalyst for change to those we encounter and to be the leader in quality. We endeavor to be innovative in our design and implementation of Behavior Treatment Plans and ISP's and in the overall quality of our services. We believe that the means to accomplish this goal is through the effective growth of a strong, empowered and fulfilled team of employees. Alpha Group Administrators strives to provide the most excellent, innovative and creative programming possible. We want to give our consumers the best opportunity to increase their learning and enjoy a better quality of life.
